I live, love and am inspired by the unique landscape of coastal Maine and the quirky menagerie of critters that live here. The beach is my happy place, the place that brings me joy and peace. I seek to recreate these colors and textures while also capturing the personalities of the unique life that calls the seaside home. Many of the quirky critters I paint are threatened or endangered. It would be such a loss if they were gone. Maybe by sharing them in this relatable way more people will see just how special they are.
Working in acrylic, mixed media and pen and ink, are my passion. I like to think of my art as energetic, fun and quirky. Someone once blessed me by saying to me, "Your creations delight me every time." This is what I hope my work will do for everyone who views it. Creating these works brings me so much happiness and I would love for them to bring a smile or a moment of happiness into the lives of others. It is my "why" for what I do.
